Pieces proposed in this auction comes mainly from the collection of the Professor G. ( lot 1 to 275 )who was born in Scotland and now lives near Poitier France. He had been teaching for many years in University all over the world from United States to South Africa, Switzerland, Australia and France. He told us that " As a typical scotishman, i've always been attracted to travels and cultures from all over the world". Let just be sure that his collection reflects his tastes and let us travel around the world and the ages. The rest of the collection comes from private french collectioneer, some of it comes after inheritance ( like the collection of Madame W, lot 279 to 291 ) . Please notice that french customs are demanding about provenance and we have to transmit them all the documents to prove pieces are in conformity with different international drafts. Please also notice that archeological pieces sold over 1500 euros require passport for free circulation as to be exported. We take care of all formalities with french customs and Cultural administration but it can take up to 4 mounths and we can not wait for buyer payment during this whole time. Please also notice that french law make us responsible for authenticity of the pieces up to 5 years after they have been sold. If a piece is tested wrong after having been bought in our auction, you will be paid back instanely. We work with different option for shipping and for the most fragile pieces, we can use a society specialized in shipping art ( Edet ) .
