Post War & Contemporary Art

The wide range of international artists, the artistic diversity, and the attractive entry prices make this auction particularly interesting for both long time collectors and occasional buyers. Beside works by Agostino Bonalumi, Lucio Fontana, Alex Katz, Emilio Vedova, CO Paeffgen, and a photograph from a performance by Marina Abramovi?, the work of French artist Bernard Aubertin, painted in a striking red, is a particularly noteworthy masterpiece. The transformation from two to three dimensional representation is displayed in this auction with works from Agostino Bonalumi, with a plastic canvas work, Emilio Vedova, with a collaged ink drawing, and Lucio Fontana, with his work entitled ?Concetto Spaziale?. Further significant works include a photograph showing Marina Abramovi??s performance ?The Biography?, Alex Katz?s larger than life ?Blue Hat?, and C.O. Paeffgen?s painting, which uses photographic techniques to create a feeling of alienation.
