Picasso, Miro, Chagall & Dali

This auction is dedicated to the great painters who are the epitome of modern art. Thus, different forms of Surrealism show in Joan Mir's cheerful, childish acting imagery of his designs for the portfolio ?Lapidari? and in Salvador Dal?s psychoanalysis-based, often erotically charged dream visions, whose Gouache ?Coeur de Fraises? is one highlight of this auction. Pablo Picasso developed a never nonobjective abstraction, for that his linocut ?Bacchanal au Taureau Noir? is an attractive example, and the lithograph ?Les Coquelicots? with a floating couple of lovers on a nightly blue sky shows a typical poetic fairytale-like composition by Marc Chagall.
