A Journey Through the Arts of Asia

Travelling through the fascinating universe of Asian Arts ? this auction is dedicated to the complex kaleidoscope of arts from the various Asian regions. Chinese Porcelains, important Indian Stones and fine Japanese Paintings are only some of the sale?s leitmotivs. An outstanding Pala Period Black Stone Stele with the Life of Buddha is among the highlights of this sale with important artworks. It also includes a Japanese scroll painting by Nagasawa Rosetsu from the late 18th C. depicting two playing puppies. As the auction begins with some of the finest examples of Chinese porcelain from the Republic Period, the sale concludes with a group of rare Indonesian Majapahit Terracotta and Stone sculptures, formerly in the collection of Ken Baars.
