Ahlers & Ogletree Auction Gallery is pleased to present Session Two of their Signature New Year's Auction held on Sunday, January 3rd. The auction features over 500 lots of modern and contemporary works of art, design and furniture including rare editions on paper from the Private Collection of Benno and Babette Rothschild of Columbus, Georgia including works by Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Alex Katz, Robert Rauschenberg, Sean Scully, Rockwell Kent, and many other outstanding listed artists including a strong collection of artworks by noted African American artists such as Amalia Amaki, Camille Billops, Emma Amos, and others. The sale also includes works from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard of Atlanta, Georgia which complement the African American works found in the Rothschild Collection with a rare portfolio of photographs by P.H. Polk and a work by Radcliffe Bailey. We are also pleased to handle artworks from the Private Collection of Atlanta and Highlands, North Carolina art and antique dealer Ann Jacob--most notably three pieces created by the Italian artist, Arnaldo Pomodoro. Last by not least, the auction includes a large collection and outstanding watercolors and prints by the highly sought after Abdur Rahman Chughtai from the Estate of Mr. Benjamin Oehlert, Former Ambassador to Pakistan.
