Overstreet Arrowheads & Sam Cox Artifacts are pleased to present the first portion of a three-part sale consisting of consignments gathered from six old-time collections spanning from the Midwest to Eastern U.S. Included within are items from the Late Herb Gsell collection which contained many fine Texas artifacts, the Mike McGowan collection which primarily consist of West Tennessee items, the Marvin Shoemaker collection which was assembled in the Saint Clair County area of Illinois between 1900 and 1970, the late Allen ''Bim'' Bigsby collection of Salina, Kansas, who was named National Geographic's Amateur Archeologist of the year 1997 and feature on the front cover of the publication along with his discoveries, the Steve Lewis collection of Manchester Ohio which has a well rounded variety of quality artifacts from across the Eastern United States, and a large private collection that was assembled in the Western Kentucky region through purchasing dozens of small self-found collections over a coarse of more than 50 years. Buyers Premium: A buyer's premium of 13% will be added to the final bid price for each lot to determine the total purchase price. 2. Participation Requirements: Valid credit card required for online bidding approval. This card requirement is for approval only and final invoices will be sent following sales closing allow you opportunity to remit payment by a host of approved options. 3. Payment Options: Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Check, or Money Order. Bidders paying by credit card will be required to pay an additional 3% card convenience fee, for a total premium of 16%. Pre-authorized, certified, or cashier's checks are accepted. Currency Type: USD 4. Sales Tax: Residents of Kentucky will be charged state sales tax of 6% that will be applied to all sales, including Buyers Premium, unless a Tax Exemption Certificate has been completed and signed prior to the close of auction. Out of state sales tax numbers will be accepted. Kentucky state sales tax WILL NOT apply to items shipped Out of the State of Kentucky. 5. All property is being sold as is. The Auction House reserves the right to withdraw any lot prior to being offered in the auction and shall have no liability whatsoever for withdrawal of the property. 7. The high bidder acknowledged by the auction house operator shall be the purchaser of that lot. The auction house operator is the sole determinant as to who is the successful bidder. Once an item is declared as "sold", the successful bidder assumes full risk and responsibility for the purchased lot. In the event of a disputed bid between an on-site, phone, or absentee bidder and internet bidder, the auction house operator shall determine the winning bidder. 8. Your bid is a contract. Do not place a bid that you are unwilling, or unable, to honor. If you are declared as the winning bidder, you have entered into a legally binding contract to purchase the property offered. Shipping: Our goal is to provide our customers with reasonable shipping fees. Our standard method of shipping is USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Shipping is based on a small flat-rate box fee of $8.95 per box. We are willing combine as many lots as safely possible to minimize overall shipping fees to purchasers. All pottery, large or oversized items will require additional shipping charges and will be charged based on the items weight or size. Winning bidders are always welcome to receive their merchandise in person from our Lexington, KY office. 10. A live auction moves at an uncertain pace, so any beginning or ending time displayed may not be accurate. Bidder acknowledges and understands that this internet bidding service may or may not function correctly the day of the auction.
