Among the top lots on sale is a precious gold and platinum necklace with diamonds and aquamarines (lot 623), which had belonged to the Duchess Victoria Louise, daughter of King William II of Germany and Emperor of Prussia, received as a gift from Tsar Nicholas II of Russia at the wedding celebrated in Berlin in 1913. "the Tsar had given me an aquamarine and diamond necklace ..." recalls the Duchess in the memoir ?A Life as the Emperor's Daughter?.
Going under the hammer are also other important jewels belonging to Italian noble families. Objects conferred by Giambattista Guerreri Marquis Gonzaga (lots from 356 to 422), stand out for the exclusivity of the components and the prestige bestowed by the handwritten dedications accompanying them: a dense network of exchanges and gifts that pass through the centuries to the present day.
Natural pearls, international brands, unique pieces made in the thirties, characterize the second important conferment which had belonged to Baroness Asenia Spiridon (lots 471 to 507).
