On the Road: Landscapes, Cities & Interiors

This auction presents journey impressions by different international artists. Among the highlights is a lithography by Paul Signac, the motif of which ´Les Andelys´ was already illustrated in 1886 in the painting ?La Seine aux Andelys? and the etching ´Kran in Hamburg´ by Emil Nolde, which arised from his fascination for the harbor. Enthusiasts and collectors will be pleased to find the oil paintings ?Markttag? by Herbert Gurscher and ´Haus in der Nehry´ by Fritz Buhrmann. An interesting artwork is the etching by Ben Nicholson, which shows an abstracted architectal view of the pisa Cathedral.
