By bidding in this auction, prospective internet bidders agree to be bound by the following, including TERMS AND CONDITIONS, CONDITION OF ITEMS, HOW DO I BID? And AFTER THE SALE. These are the complete and only terms and conditions on which all property is offered for sale.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Registration. All bidders must register their name, permanent street address (no P.O. Boxes please), and phone number prior to the auction. Bidders are required to register a valid Visa or Mastercard number, and may be required to arrange for a bank letter of credit.
Deposit. We do require a 25% deposit of your expected high bids upon registration. This can be in the form of an approved credit card, cashiers check, or business check with a letter of guarantee.
Terms of Sale. The highest bidder for each lot shall be the buyer, and if any dispute arises as to any bidding, or between two or more bidders, at the sole discretion of the auctioneer, the disputed lot shall be put up again at the last undisputed bid and resold.
Buyer’s Premium. As part of its compensation for auction services, CRG shall charge and collect for its own account a buyer’s premium from each successful bidder in addition to the purchase price as bid. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a discount from the Buyer’s Premium equal to 3% of the sales price shall apply to purchasers who pay in the form of cash, cashier’s check, company check (with a letter of guarantee) or wire transfer
• Internet Bidder paying by Credit Card: 15%
• Internet Bidder paying by Cash, Cashier’s check, or Wire Transfer: 15% less 3% (cash) discount = 12%
Taxes. All bidders are subject to State Sales Tax unless the bidder has filled out a Sales Tax Exemption Certificate and has supplied a copy of their certificate.
Payment. Internet bidders are required to pay for their purchases immediately upon receipt of an electronic, or paper invoice. Acceptable forms of payment include company or personal check with a bank letter of guarantee, bank check, bank wire transfer. Credit cards are accepted only for internet bidding registration.
IF CRG HAS NOT RECEIVED PAYMENT FOR WINNING BIDS 48 HOURS AFTER BIDDERS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THEIR PURCHASES, THE BIDDER AUTHORIZES CRG TO CHARGE THEIR PURCHASES TO THE CREDIT CARD LEFT ON FILE DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.

Condition of items in the sale. CRG does not warrant the condition of any lot sold. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, and neither CRG nor the consignor makes any warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to the property or it’s value, and in no event shall they be responsible for correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance, authenticity, authorship, completeness, condition of the property or estimate of it’s value. No statement (oral or written) in the catalog, at the auction, or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty or representation, or any assumption of responsibility.
Prospective bidders are urged to contact CRG directly for detailed information regarding any lot. THERE SHALL BE NO RETURNS FOR ANY REASON.
Exclusions – Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms of Guarantee, CRG does not guarantee the names or patterns of any Oriental rugs. All rug dimensions are approximate. Additionally, antiques, by the very nature of their age, have wear that reflects their years of use. As a result, honest wear earned from use is to be expected and is sometimes the proof that an item is an antique. Normal wear will not be listed. Buyers who would like to know the fine points regarding condition should call prior to the auction. We would prefer that you examine the items before you place a bid. All other guarantees of authenticity of authorship, expressed or implied, are hereby disclaimed. There is no other warranty, express or implied. Each and every lot is sold “as is”.
HOW DO I BID?
Internet bidding through our Provider is offered as a service to our customers, and prospective bidders shall not hold the auctioneer or his staff responsible for any failure due to the loss of the auction aplet supplied to CRG by the Provider.
Absentee Bidding. Absentee bids left through our Provider are automatically bid electronically by the Provider. These electronic bids often compete against absentee bids left directly with CRG’s staff by prospective bidders who are not participating in the internet component of the auction, but have contacted CRG directly and “left” a bid. These bids are executed competitively by a member of CRG’s staff at the time of the live aution, and are often in direct competition with the internet bids. In the event that there is a tie absentee bid, the earliest recorded bid shall be the winner.
AFTER THE AUCTION
CRG will invoice all successful bidders within 24 hours after the close of the auction. Successful bidders are expected to pay for their purchases immediately. IF PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER THE FAXING, E-MAILING OR MAILING OF AN INVOICE, ABSENTEE BIDDERS AUTHORIZE crg TO CHARGE THEIR PURCHASES TO THEIR CREDIT CARD LEFT ON FILE WITH THEIR ABSENTEE BID.
Shipping. It is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange packing and shipping of any and all lots purchased. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay for all shipping and handling charges. CRG will need to see a paid invoice before removing any and all purchases.
