They should require approval from buyers before giving items to a shipper. We planned to pick it up ourselves, but they sent it right off to a shipper without our allroval.

It appears as if the artifact I purchased isn't an authentic prehistoric artifact. I made the mistake of not asking questions prior to purchasing it so I don't hold anyone responsible but myself. Either way, $450 was an expensive lesson.

The shipper was excellent. The auction house got the merchandise there quickly and it was shipped quickly. Very satisfied.

DUane Merrill is an honest, well organized and friendly place to do business.

Auction house seemed decent. However, they forwarded me to a shipping house who proceeded to pack up a rare framed vellum, wrapped in one sheet of bubble wrap, and place it immediately up against a large, HEAVY Victorian photo album and BOOKS. It had absolutely no chance. The owner of the auction house simply forwarded me to their shipping house (a separate entity), who then screamed at me for daring to be upset for their horrible packing. We were literally screamed at. HORRIBLE. We will think twice, if ever, about using the auction house, due to this experience. We've used auction houses the world over, and never have encountered such behaviour.

I was more disappointed than dissatisfied. The lot description did not indicate that the document lot which I purchased was framed. The presence of the frame increased the potential shipping expense to make the lot cost more than the value of the document. A compromise with the shipping agent allowed the document to be removed from the frame and shipped without it, but the document received minor damage in the process. I have so advised the Auction house of the situation, and hopefully they will be able to avoid this type of situation in the future.

SHIPPING FEES WERE SKY-HIGH..... Will NOT be bidding on any other auctions with Duane Merrill Auctions. Skipping them in the future. Outrageous Shipping Fees!!!!

I was disappointed that I received no information on the items I won. The shipping was very expensive. The items I won were as described and extremely nice!!

Handoff to outside shipper was seamless.

As to shipping: the entire bottom of the package was open! Its amazing that the painting didnt fall out or be damaged.

haven't received the items yet due to a delay in shipping, not the auction houses fault.

I picked up my stuff and they loaded it for me!

I bid on a table on-line and the auction closed and I was notified that I was the winning bidder. Following the auction, I received an invoice for the item and paid for it. Early the next week, I contacted the auction house to say I would be driving to Williston to pick up the items. When I arrived at the auction house, I was told the table had been sold to the floor and I was not the winning bidder. They made no attempt to contact me before I made the 257 mile round trip drive and the only thing they said was "sorry, we made a mistake." The only other item I won could have been easily shipped. I wasted a lot of time and money to make the trip. I will not be bidding on auctions at this establishment in the future! Sloppy!

A better description of the item I won would have been more helpful to determine what I bidding on.

invoicing through Paypal did not work well, but it seems to have been new for them

The online bidding stinks. I bid on a item as soon as It was offered and my bid was applied to the next item which I won but did not want. There needs to be time enough for online bidders to use the service fairly. Didn't use shipping so a NA answer would be helpful.
