A Lalique Sitting Eagle was described as having "no issues...". Instead the Eagle had a "nick" under the tail with fractures and two cracks radiating outward from the "nick". This is a condition that should have been reported and was easy to see. I left emails and recorded telephone calls with no answer from Westport Auction.

The staff is very cooperative and polite. They make allowances for time delays in pick up. Good communications.

The trend to more and more buyers premium on top of convenience charge for credit card is making buying art of the internet untenable. As the buyer of this auction had to pay like me 28 % buyers premium 4 % convenience charge for card and then the full service cost to have a 3rd party shipper go to the gallery to retrieve your items after you have been charged 32 % service cost already. I will not buy another item from this gallery. Very sincerely, Garth Wichita
