Their descriptions of items were very superficial. They didn't seen to care to try to inform buyers as to what was being offered.

It is a great auction house and had the chance to visit and pick up material on a trip to Philadelphia. They have a great staff and wonderful store as well. love doing business with them.

They are not great about responding to questions. They could do a better job on item description, especially noting condition issues. Overall fine though.

They need to put higher resolution photos, especially of the details. This is true for all items. If higher resolution isn't possible, at least photograph each item in a group separately so I can see them better. It was impossible, for example, to see that several embroideries were unfinished. Since they were part of larger lots, I might have had to buy them anyhow, but it is crazy that I can't see an item in detail. I am also not in love with having to buy textiles in lots. I ended up with things I did not want in order to get the ones I did.

The auction house is often non-responsive to phone/email inquiries. However, Mark is superb with customer service and assisting with questions and item pick-ups. His professionalism makes up for the sometimes lack of customer service.

Auction house is fine to deal with. The pieces I have purchased are great. The shipping and handling of the pieces caused them to all arrive in fine shape. But the handling and packaging charges are outrageous, in my opinion. And the quote I just received over the phone was not honored as my card was charged for substantially more.
