Nice medal. It shipped quickly and it was well protected.

I got the items in just a couple of days. They had built a plywood box to hold the items and stuffed it heavily with styrofoam. Items arrived in perfect condition.

I recently purchased two fragile and valuable pieces of Glass, I was apprehensive as I live in the UK, the auction house was in America and the pieces were from an Estate Sale and Shipped from Argentina....., so quite a complex transaction. I should not have worried though, everything was concluded very quickly and professionally. Anyone can bid with Carstens with full confidence, it doesn't matter where you live.

There was a problem with the condition of the item which the auction house solved immediately. All together, it was a good experience and I would always buy again from them.

Has seriously answered to my questions

The figure to which I refer was described as "Made by Hagenauer, Vienna", condition "very good", "silver-plated brass". However, in contrast to this text and the perfectly taken photographs, the figure was in a very poor state of preservation, chrome-plated and turned out to be a fake. The description was in no way factual! Carstens Galleries should at least have a basic understanding of the things it is auctioning. As a bidder I also expect truthful written information about the actual state of conservation. Any further purchase from Carstens Galleries is out of the question.
