Fantastic Service
I am writing to confirm that my experience with Associated Estate and Appraisal Company was one of the best experiences that I have had with an auction house in my years of buying! I contacted the auction twice concerning my purchase and both times I received careful and competent assistance from reception to the actual owner. I needed assistance as it was the first time buying from this venue and needed to coordinate shipping and payment, etc. I was very impressed with my dealings and the owner was very helpful and personable and I will gladly deal with them again!! LIES AND DISHONESTY-DO NOT USE
After reading this, check their yelp reviews. I bought various lots, paid invoice and shipping. 3 days AFTER auction, I got a message "Please be advised that the seller has requested your permission to remove Lot 245” due to “clerking error”. I declined permission by two emails because according to THEIR OWN terms of the sale," "YOUR BID IS A CONTRACT, and ALL SALES ARE FINAL" and "Title of the property immediately passes to the highest acknowledged bidder when the hammer falls”. LiveAuctioneers replied “the auction house has failed to respond to any of our follow-up attempts” Finally I heard from Associated Estate: “Lot 245 did not show as sold on our system until well after the auction was completed. It was assumed that they passed, then sold to an in-house left bidder. Currently we are in the process of determining where this and at least one other similar error occurred.” I replied “You made it appear that the seller had just changed their mind after the auction. But now you tell me that this email was in fact, not truthful. You invoiced me, and I paid the full amount. How can you have invoiced me AND taken my payment if this lot" did not show as sold "on your system?” And “The only solution that I can see is that you contact the later bidder and inform them that the items were sold to them incorrectly, and were in fact my property which you had no right to sell.” I never heard from them again, despite repeated emails. Live Auctioneers ’ position seems to be as a" passive conduit -But if so, why have they removed my lot from their “won items” list? Why are they taking the side of this auction house? I have not received the items, I have lost hundreds of dollars, and they ignore emails. An auction, ESPECIALLY online, relies on law and trust. Associated Estates ignores the law, and has broken trust. WHY DOES LIVE AUCTIONEERS KEEP THEM ON THEIR BOOKS?

One of the most un-organized auction house. It took them 10 days to send the invoice after the auction ended. The same day I received the invoice, sent an email asking them to update the invoice with another shipping address. And no answer, no update. Then they opened "Unpaid Invoice" dispute. I called them to remind the invoice update I asked for and then they send me the new invoice. I paid the updated invoice the same day. I am not sure even if they shipped my items? Communication is really bad. They should read their emails before opening disputes.

Four of the seven items (Burmese animal weights) in the lot are fakes. The photo was inadequate for me to determine this in advance, and I had trusted the auction house with exercising quality control over what they are offering. I did receive these items today, well packed.

I never received the bill for my purchase and wonder if I ever will. I contacted the auction house and they told me that they haven't sent invoices yet but the auction was held October 6th which is almost 3 weeks ago and i am not optimistic about it.

Note that answer to question 4 is because I haven't received the items yet. After the auction received an email that the invoice would arrive within three business days. I sent three emails requesting the invoice after four business days had passed. Finally received the invoice almost two weeks after the auction ended. The auction offered fine items. But trying to pay for the items was quite difficult and, to date, haven't received the items.
