"general" common practice with many auction houses to refer back to the disclaimer... all sales final. If you are not there in person to inspect, you are at the mercy of the description in hopes, that the auction house is honest. Recently bought a rug, colors were vibrant red, when received, the reds where brown... I was out a lot of money on top of the high buyers premiums and shipping. Glass had a undisclosed crack, shipping destroyed the product and shipper refused to file a claim. Many shippers were less interested in customer service and more in customer extortion charged high pick up fees and packing and taking up much time with back and forth delaying shipment up to 1 month..... Liveauctions are a high risk!

I was really disappointed with the shipper.. The costs from them was outrageous..

One Bird had a chip to a wing tip that would have made me offer less had I known.

Items came damaged and also pictures didn't show how bad the items were

The auction ended May 15. I paid immediately. Today is June 6. I still don't have my lot. The shipper has not even picked up the item yet. This is not good service.

Simpson's is one of the best when it comes to not only offerings, but to customer service! They are extremely professional, very helpful and always pleasant to deal with.

I think you should share the answers with the auction house. I've had two bad experiences in a row. HCA was # 2, they never responded to my 2 requests via live A email for condition reports, nor answered their phone. The shipper was slow & disorganized. For what we pay for shipping it should be quick, especially if we pay quickly, if they can't handle the load, the auction house should have multiple shippers to choose from. The first bad experience was a misleading description from Jeschke Van Vliet in Berlin, they ended up releasing me from the item. 80 % of my experinces have been very good, but there seems to be some slipping latley. The auction houses need to be held accoutable more, they need to be rated on your site, eveybody does it.... eBay, Amazon etc etc Thank you, glenn **********
