1) I never received emails from Live at time of bidding confirming I'd won particular lots. 2) I put in an advance bid with Live during auction. I was not told until mid-Monday that my bid had won!! 3) Some discrepancy about buyer's premium. I understand if I had put in advance bid directly with Bertoia, BP would have been its std 20 %. Instead I paid 25.5 % going through Live. This is not acceptable.

Bertoia auctions is A number 1 as far as I am concerned having dealt with many auction houses over the decades.

I have dealt with Bertoia several times now, they accurately describe items take great pictures of the items. When they ship items they package them really well, i would recommend Bertoia to anyone.

I answered this survey based on previous lots I've won with them. At this point I still have not received an invoice from them on the lot I won at the March 12th auction. I know the staff at Bertoia's very well and feel they're probably one of the best auction houses I deal with, but the email I got on the 12th said I would get an invoice within 3 business days, but on this one it's been over 10 business days and I have not heard from them.

They are very helpful, I find many of the US houses very easy to deal with, particularly given they have to handle the international aspect.

They asked me to fill out a credit authorization form and told me that they would not charge my Credit Card. They charged my Credit Card after the auction and one day later they sent me a Paypal invoice for the same amount. I paid the invoice (not knowing that they already had charged my card), they refunded my credit card one day later but I lost $5.00 due to the exchange rate to Canadian . They again charged my credit without my consent to pay for the shipping.

P. S.-I rate Bertoia Auctions as the most knowledgeable, honest, congenial, auction house in America. And, if you sell with them, their payments are very quick, professional. If you buy from them, they ship the purchase quickly. I have waited 4 weeks to get my purchases from some auction houses. Always work with the principles at Bertoia for the best service. It's a family company.

I think this is the best auction house that exists today. Rich Bertoia, a principle, is the one to speak with concerning questions about condition, etc. Several years ago, I did return one toy, because it wasn't right... and I hadn't taken the time to preview the condition over the phone before the auction with Rich. They took it back without any problems, and resold it at their next auction while noting the problem I had pointed out. Auction selling is not a perfect situation when you sell over 1000 items over 2 days. 1 item at a time.
