ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
DON’T BID HERE!!! THIS AUCTION HOUSE IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABHORRENT AND ITEM WAS NOT USABLE. I PAID $144 PLUS ALMOST $30 IN SHIPPING COST FOR A PAIR OF EARRINGS THAT HAS ONE EARRING THAT WILL NOT STAY ON THE EAR BECAUSE THE CLIP IS TOO LOOSE. SEVERAL DAYS AFTER CONTACTING THESE PEOPLE FOR A RETURN, THEY ADVISED ME TO BUY A COMFORT PAD ONLINE, AS IF THE EARRINGS WERE TOO TIGHT! MY ADVICE FOR THEM IS THAT THEY SHOULD NOT BE SELLING FAULTY ITEMS. THESE ARE THE KIND OF FOLKS THAT SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS.

Nice items, description/condition lacking
I chanced upon a good auction with nice antiques. However, descriptions are basic and do not give a good idea on the condition of the item. I bought some chairs and tables and two of the had problems, one quite major. Buyers, beware. It was not apparent in the description or even at first glance. I'm a lightweight adult (115 lbs) and sat on two chairs that broke. There was no indication in the description that the chairs don't work. It's not even like they said the chairs are from the 19th century or something (in which case you might be wary of whether they still actually work). Even those, in my opinion, should be expected to work unless specified otherwise. I personally own old chairs that fully work. Also, do they expect the buyer to sit on each chair before taking it home? First, they only allot 15 minutes for pickup. Second, even if you did get to sit on each chair and they broke, would they really give you a refund? I requested a refund and will see if they honor it. It was not an expensive chair but I would have wanted it to not be completely broken!! I also don't see the point in returning the chair given that I live many hours away from their warehouse. As far as I could tell, they prefer to give a refund if you return the item. Again, maybe I should have sat on each chair before I picked it up. (Still no guarantee that they will not crack after I get home).

Beautiful items
Very satisfied with items and easy payment process. Shipper was very courteous, but arrangement between auction house and shipper not nearly as efficient as I have found elsewhere. Too many emails required to get the job done. Also, shipping was slower and more expensive rhan most. However, I paid little enough for my items, so I'm satisfied with overall money spent. Just keep high shipping cost in mind when bidding.

THIS HORRIBLE AUCTION HOUSE INFORMED ME THAT AFTER 1 WEEK POST WINNING AND PAYING FOR MY ITEM THAT IT IS THEIR POLICY TO CONFISCATE WON ITEMS AS I WAS ARRANGING FOR OUT OF STATE SHIPPING. MOST BUSINESSES ALLOW 30 DAYS FOR ITEM PICK-UP. MY RECOMMENDATION IS NOT TO BUY FROM THIS AUCTION HOUSE!!!!!!

Reliable description, responsive seller, fast & easy shipping option.
This was my first online auction outside of eBay. It was smooth as silk. I bid in advance, and was contacted promptly after winning. It was easy to pay, and their recommended shipping partner was similarly responsive and reasonably priced.

Accuracy
Boxed items were missing pieces and it was hard to tell by the picture and there was no mention of missing pieces. Mailing cost high in my opinion, although done by 3rd party. Will not buy anything from them in the future.

High shipping cost
Cordier did not offer in-house shipping, and their Third party shipper charged 3-4 times as much as other auction houses charge. Way too high.

Cordier is making everyone take 15 minute appointments to pick up items which is very inconvenient.

I hope everyone reads the reviews of this auction house.
This auction house is by far and away the worst I have ever dealt with on the LiveAuctioneers platform. They are completely uncompromising in their rules. Every question is answered with read our terms of service and a copy of the TOS. My purchase was a little over $1000 and they insisted on a wire. I had a driver ready to pick up the table the Tuesday after the sale with cash. They couldn't accommodate and refused to take cash or have someone at the warehouse. Then they wouldn't take a credit card for a trivial amount above there $1000 threshold. Once I did wire the money, the table could only be picked up on a Saturday in weeks that they didn't have an auction. There is a $5 a day charge for storage. Really a $35 charge since you can only pick up one day a week. It cost me an additional $100 for my item. Since it was a larger piece and I had to use a commercial trucker, I had to wait two weeks to pick it up. They give you a 15 minute window for pickups and have NO staff that will be allowed to help you load so you need to pay 2 people for larger items to transport them. If you miss the pick up window they charge $10 cancellation fee. A friend of mine was there early to pick up smalls, he could see them on a table and was told by the owner to come back in 30 minutes when his time was scheduled. An unbelievable waste of time. I also hope consignors read this. No one who has bought here would be very likely to make a second purchase. There are plenty of other auctions in the area that sell on LiveAuctioneers that treat their clients better.

Cordier is a thief
Cordier "requires" all cookies to be unblocked in order to book a time for pickup, which is illegal. I filed a complaint with the PA State Attorney General's office, The PA Licensing Commission, and the FTC. In the meantime my daily email from LiveAuctioneers indicated the same items I purchased and paid for were being auctioned off again this morning, and by the time I logged on to the auction they were sold for $10 dollars more than I paid. This constitutes FRAUD and THEFT among other things and both criminal & civil litigation will be explored.

Terrible Auction House. Buyers beware. All about making extra money from "storage fees"
Purchased an item. Invoice received 5/29. Paid 5/29. Attempted to schedule pick up on the given dates. 10-4 on 6/3, 6/4, 6/5. I was unable to get their on line scheduler to work on their website. Contacted Cordier via email on 6/4 about the issue and asked if I could come by to pick it up since I could not get the scheduler to work. They told me no, that I needed to schedule on line and sent me the link again. At that point 24 hours was last day of pick up, on 6/5 after 1:30 PM. Once again, I tried to schedule on line, following their link, but was unable. I was finally able to get the scheduler to work on 6/5 at 12:46 PM. At this point the only option it gave me for pick up was 6/12/21. So I made an appointment. I then received a storage fee on 6/10/21 for storage fees of $5/day for 6/7, 6/8, 6/9, 6/10, & 6/11. They charged me storage fees for dates that they do not give you an opportunity to pick up on. on 6/10 they invoiced me for future dates, (6/11), as they knew I was unable to pick up this date as well. I contacted them, and they told me I missed the pick up dates, despite the issue I was having with their scheduler, and them not offering to assist in any other way than their on line scheduler. They reduced the fee, as a "one time courtesy". I feel that this is very bad business. Zero customer service, and then charge a customer for storage fees, on dates they are unable to pick up. Basically, they hold your items hostage and charge you, until they are available, at their convenience, to allow you a pick up. By this practice, they could hold your stuff a year, stating that there are no available dates, and then charge you a daily storage fee. If you are 10 minutes late for your 15 minute window, they will turn you away and charge you a fee, then make you reschedule and charge you storage. Yet, when you go to pick up, and are on time, you will wait 30 minutes for them to give you your items. Very bad business ethics. I would avoid at all costs.
