Buyer Beware, Read ALL the terms and check also reviews on FB
They require written authorization before releasing to the shipper, so in 8 days my storage fee was over 65 % of bid amount. I paid and authorized the release to their shipper, Instead of releasing my purchase, they billed for the same storage fees claiming it was unpaid. I paid it before realizing they charged me twice. I called and left a message to call me. They refunded the duplicate charge but did not call me. I messaged them that since they chare storage, they should compensate me for the days they failed to release it but refused. They also have other fees that none of the other auction houses I buy from do not charge. Do not plan to buy from them again.

Cordier's was very helpful with their communications throughout the whole auction. The 3rd party shipping company they recommended did a great job.

Excellent and reliable
Cordier is an excellent and reliable partner for buyers. They certainly are the most high profile auction house in Harrisburg and they live up to the expectations of local families who rely upon them.

SLOW SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS
Auction was great, but when it came to arranging shipping that was a problem. The sent to a shipping company that was holding my lot hostage for storage fees of $75 and would not ship until that was paid. Cordier was informed and got the lot back and sent it to UPS that was half the cost for shipping. I was to the point to say keep the lot or discard it. Cordier did come through in the end. Thank you Cordier.

The shipping is a rip off
I bought a lamp and it was going to cost $148 to ship it. I told them to just keep the lamp. Shipping cost is ridiculously high. I will NEVER buy anything on here again

Cordier really does work with the buyers as best they can.
Auction House is very honest in both descriptions and help. Shipping is another matter. Be very careful of who you choose to ship your items.

Never again will I buy anything
I paid twice as much for shipping and what I bought. Other Auction site ship from in house. Plus the price of shipping was way over priced. 78 dollars for a package the was less than 5lbs. And a box maybe 8x8 inches. You have lost my business. Way way to much for shipping.

Watch out for hidden fees
On top of the ample commission, there was a $20 “processing fee” which I found objectionable

From Enthusiastic Anticipation to Disappointment
How many times have we been so excited to have placed the winning bid and eagerly anticipated the arrival of our new treasure? Then the process of arranging pick up, packing and shipping becomes the focus. What, how much do you want to charge me to deliver my treasure? I paid $30.00 for the pair of beautiful 24 inch vases and you want to charge me $115.00 apiece and send them in separate boxes. Well, send me one and you can keep the other one. Wow what a letdown. Unfortunately this has occurred far more than once or twice. It has gotten to the point where I just won’t bid anymore. The excitement of the auction process has been destroyed and the idea of searching for that certain item that will bring beauty into our home or complete our collection has been quelled. What a terrible waste of time, money and dreams. On the bright side of things, it is always a delight to receive your items and once you can elevate your spirits beyond the shipping shock and once again appreciate your hard work and success, take the positive from your experience and keep it in mind should you wish to test your skills again. I wish to say that often times the problem is not that of the Auctioneer but more the location and availability of 3rd party shipping. UPS actually told me that since it is the prime shipping season they no longer offer pickup services. If you can have the item dropped off at the store, we can pack and ship it to you. Okay, I live in Florida and my item is in Maine, no problemo. Sometimes my skeptical mind thinks that maybe the auctioneers make more money with their shippers than selling the items. No, that’s not fair nor founded by any evidence whatsoever, but has crossed my mind. One suggestion that could help is if the auctioneer would provide a little more information such as the weight of the items. One auctioneer actually provided estimated shipping costs for their items. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy hunting. 😎 🎅 😉

Be sure shipper has the correct measurements of item
Overall quite happy with bidding and buying on Cordier Auctions. One bit of advice for bidders who are going to use their recommended shipper is to ask for an estimate of the cost of shipping the item and to make sure that the shipper has the correct measurements (size & weight) of the item. Otherwise the shipper may underestimate the cost of shipping. This occurred in this case. Since shipping cost can be substantial these days anyway, an underestimate can lead to sticker shock for the buyer when the shipper provides the final correct cost of shipping after they pick the item up. In this case there were no measurements provided in the description at the time that the shipper made the initial estimate. They thought that the items were the usual size that such items are. But they were more than twice that size. The shipper was very cordial & did provide suggestions for how to reduce the cost of shipping as much as possible. I would recommend both the auction house and the shipper and would suggest that buyers who are going to use the shipper make sure that the shipper has complete information on the measurements (size & weight) of the items.

poorly photographed and no condition listed
the piece I purchased had a very low-resolution image on the site that 'hid' the obvious tear, rippling, and discoloration of paper for this watercolor. I don't think it is was a really honest description of the item. No condition was listed in the description.
