My shipper went to pick it up and immediately called me from the auction house to discuss the condition of the window. He was concerned about being liable for the deliver of the piece in the condition it was in. MUCH worse than described or shown in the one picture published

The recommended shipping was slow, rude, super expensive, useless, and my item was damaged on arrival. Dealer could not care less. I do not recommend this auction house. Never had this experience elsewhere.

Nice follow through from winning bid to Invoice by company and I paid through LiveAuctioneers. Some difficulty with recommended shippers slow responses to my inquiries, but good after contact.

I asked all the listed shippers for estimates. Only one answered, so I told them to go ahead. They lost track of the order. By the time I got that straightened out, I had to pay a $114 storage charge for late pick-up. Then the shipper took weeks to actually send the item: auction on February 25, delivery on November 7.

The item was exactly as described. Received invoice and paid promptly. Item was expertly packed and shipped. Many thanks for your caring customer service to Rob at Lewis & Maese, as well as to the recommended UPS store # 4340 staff: Ashley and Kausar. Good job!

They went totally over and above to make sure I was taken care of. From both owners to the young man that helped me load out. Great people.

I left this place crying. I went to pickup my 3 items & was met with a rude employee who was persistent on telling me what wouldn't fit in my vehicle. I asked the man to let me see my items and he made me feel small and dumb for even suggesting they would fit in my Mazda SUV. In the end I had to just walk away because I was defeated. My boyfriend had to come at a later date to pickup with a friends truck. When I saw the boxes I instantly knew they would've fit in my car! I have never been talked to the way I was that day & the inconvenience we had to deal with was unnecessary

Described item as sterling silver & jade... it was in fact some sort of metal and enamel on porcelain. They didn't bother responding to me despite having spent in excess of $5, 000 with them in the past!

The item was described as painting after Velesquez. I do not believe it is a painting but is actually a print on canvas. The back was covered with paper which I removed to examine the work. The edges are perfectly straight and there is no brushwork, the surface was dirty and the framing poor. If an item is not examined out of the frame auctioneers should not specify work is a painting. Although I did not pay much for the painting, shipping was expensive and it is an item I will never use.

Lewis and Maese handles quality items for reasonable prices. The descriptions of the items are accurate and the estimated values are accurate as well.

Won an item. Notified of that, received an invoice, paid it immediately only to be told that I did not win the item, that it had gone to another bidder. Money refunded but was told by auction house this happens all the time. Hasn't happened to me in 10 years of regular auction buying from many sites. Will take my business to an auction house a little more organized.

Recent auction item listed as carved wood mask multiple emails and phone calls to confirm it was wood before payment made they confirmed it with wood and once it was received it was made of plastic they do not respond to emails they never called back once they were informed of their mistake currently having to do a chargeback since they will not respond they materially made a mistake in listing. I will never buy from this auction house again due to their clear mistakes and their poor handling of customer issues.

Very professional

This was a fun experience for my dad and I the whole auction thing however due to the shipping difficulties and the rudeness of the shipping and the lies that I was told by the shipping staff I cannot go through that process again. It was nothing that the staff at Lewis & maese did they were very nice.
