Garth's auction house is great to work with. Auctions go off without a hitch, easy pay procedure and items were sent out quickly. Upon arrival, packaging was perfect, no damage at all. Will certainly bid with Garth's again.

I have been dealing with Garth’s Auction house for many years. I have always been treated like I am the most important person. They have great items, great photography/descriptions. They are truly one of the best auction houses I have used from all over the world. Thanks!

I like this auction house. They represented their items very accurately. I am very happy with the items I bought. Very pleasant experience.

I bid online almost every day. With so many other auction houses out there that do not try to triple their profits by really sticking it to you with astronomical shipping charges why would anyone deal with this auction house? I will never deal with them again, you shouldn't either.

Charging $200 for shipping, and taking 4 weeks to get it shipped isn't a positive experience. Based on weight and distance, actual shipping charges were less than $50.

Great Auction House, one of THE BEST!!

Garth's was ompletely great in responding to my questions about kilim I ended up purchasing. Earlier this year I bought a kilim from another auction house and it arrived with much more damage than they posted and with terrible urine smell. When I wrote to them about the condition, they didn't even bother to respond. Obviously I was much more cautious with the purchase from Garth's. They couldn't have been nicer and provided all the information I needed, including that the rug didn't have an odor. Great service. Super nice people.

Easy transaction.

We regularly purchase from Garth’s Auction, and generally have a good experience. However, several issues have arisen in our many interactions with Garth’s. Firstly, since the have moved to all online auctions the photos do NOT accurately represent the items we have purchased. Nothing beats seeing an items one wants to purchase prior to buying it. More often than not, we have overpaid for an item offered online only, as the photos generally do not accurately represent their condition. Secondly, the preview hours are ridiculously small. Monday to Friday, 10a-5p. For those of us who work, and have a high enough income to purchase these items by auction, you would certainly think they would offer at least one evening preview prior to the auction until 8p (we live an hour away), and at least 4 hours to preview on a weekend day. Thirdly, after we have won an item online (since the auctions are no longer live) it can take up to 3 days of multiple phone calls to get through to a live person to pay by credit card (very frustrating) and generally the phone people are not friendly or thankful. Lastly, and most importantly, after an item is won and paid for, it is like pulling teeth trying to arrange and evening or weekend pick up time. As per my prior comment, an evening pickup time until 8p, and a weekend pickup window of 4 hours I believe should be standard operating business not requiring multiple calls to arrange each online action after payment as a “special” pickup time.

At the beginning had a good impression from the photos and condition reports of the items also payment process was easy and fast. Everything was just fine until i chose my items to be shipped in house directly from the auction house. So around 3-4 phone calls and 6 emails in which i was certified from Edie that they are working on my items and as soon as they are shipped i will get a tracking information by email. Guess what after almost one month of waiting i missed the delivery because i never received the shipping email with the tracking info! So overall experience was fine just customer service and shipping procedure need to be improved!

Not the issue of the auction house at all. They were very helpful when I changed to pickup from ship.
