Tried to get shipping quotes prior to bidding from both recommended shippers. One did not respond and the other would only quote after the items were purchased. I did not bid on as many items as I had planned due to shipping cost uncertainty. I did purchase 2 items. I found shipping to be quite expensive and glad I didn't purchase additional items. I did like the items I purchased.

Since the auction house does not have on-site packing, an email from them to assure the winning client that their item has been picked up by the packer would be helpful.

Experience with the auction house was excellent, however, with no shipping department, cost of shipping was quite high.

The only reason i checked 'neutral' for shipping is because shipping process didn't apply: I drove and picked up the item myself. I would suggest that you might want to make N/A an option for at least the shipping question. Outside of that, they were friendly and helpful in making arrangements for pickup, and had the furniture waiting for me when i arrived. I also had a chance to speak at length with the curator of the auction house, and was quite impressed. I would buy again online with confidence from Farmer auctions

The description of the item was somewhat misleading.

The shippers (not just for the above) are charging outrageous prices to pickup and ship the merchandise to buyers..

First time I purchased from Farmer's and it was very smooth, items just as pictured and items were shipped well and in a very timely manner. Very pleased with this experience!

With any on line live auction the shipping process can make or break the experience. Farmer recommended 2 local shippers-1 was quick to respond but not at all helpful, the other took a little longer to answer my questions but responded with a fair, reasonable, and thoughtful quote-and held to it. Because of this shipper, I would participate in Farmer auctions again. Payment was via their web site as I recall-I like having a secure and fast on line payment method like PayPal.
