First, it took multiple attempts to get an invoice for my purchase. They said they had sent it "3 times" but never attempted to problem solve how to get a copy to me as it was not showing up on my end (though the reminders the payment was past due kept showing up). One of their communications seemed to imply I was simply attempting to delay making payment. Once I got an invoice, I checked it very carefully only to find they had added an additional 5 % Buyer's Premium above what was listed in the auction information. When asked, they insisted this was what I owed LiveAuctioneers and there was nothing they could do about it. When I informed them that LiveAuctioneers charges Sellers, NOT Buyers-they held their ground and refused to do any investigating of their own. After several emails, they threatened to file a non-payment dispute with LiveAuctioneers, which could have resulted in my being blocked from making future purchases. At this point, I contacted LiveAuctioneers directly asking them to intervene. I subsequently received a corrected invoice-with no acknowledgement of the fact they had been wrong. And, of course, I received no apology. Lastly, their shipping fees are exorbitant. I had received a UPS shipment from another auction house in the UK just a couple of weeks earlier so I had some idea of what it should have cost to ship this item. The bill was more than twice what the other auction house charged. The only upside-the items were exactly as described and arrived quickly and safely.

They were a pleasure to deal with. Very easy transaction even though they are located in England and I am in the US. Quick shipping. The items were perfectly packaged and arrived in tact.

At first, I thought the cost for pick-up, packing and shipping a small vase with lid was high, but when the large box arrived containing the manufacturer's original and very large presentation box with carved foam to contain the parts safely, it was more acceptable. My only suggestion would be to find a substitute for the dreaded foam peanuts that filled spaces between the inner and the outer box, cannot be dissolved or put in trash without luring birds to their death in landfills, and are too miserable with static to be gathered from where they get away and stick around the house. Wrinkled layers of stiff paper are being used these days to everyone's satisfaction, providing good protection and easy disposal. Thanks to all for a happy transaction.

The item I purchased is just as stated. My CC company held the payment for shipping, probably because it was excessive. I'm in the eastern US. It's not that far, but bubble wrap and styrofoam peanuts must be quite valuable in the UK, judging by the cost of packing and shipping. It's unlikely I will bid on that auction site again.

I purchased this item 7 months ago, paid, and discussed shipping with the auction house. Supposedly they shipped to their international shipper in FL but that was the last i heard. As of Mar i have not yet heard from their shipper in FL nor have i received the item.
