Scammed. His buddy Barry Dieterly "owns" MDA authenticators that forges the documents for Richard Gottfried aka Crazy Richard on Liveauctioneers. Seems he closes shop and switches biz names. BS autographs. no reply. AVOID!! He lives in Havertown PA btw

This auction house and Live Auctioneers are scam artists. I purchased 4 autographed baseballs and a historical letter some 4 months ago. The authenticating company used is virtually unknown. Upon receipt of the items they were judged forgeries. In their offering, they included a counter-guarantee from PSA/DNA, the leading autograph authenticator in the sports memorabilia business which was totally unauthorized. This is mail fraud. PSA has sent them a cease and desist order. Despite numerous emails requesting a refund after returning the items to them, I have been totally stonewalled by Live/Sails despite numerous requests to address the situation, so now they have both my money and the items in question. If this review doesn't spur them to action, I will contact The Better Business Bureau and my lawyer. My additional fear is that they may have auctioned off said fake items to some poor sucker like me.

Spent $7K + on 4 items with so-called "forensic LOAs". Items arrived packaged very poorly which was the immediate red flag. Forensic LOA's that were included were from sellers '"other" businesses. After further digging found seller to be involved in other fraudulent activities with various other forensic document examiners. Items were reviewed by both PSA/DNA, James Spence (JSA) and Beckett and all determined items were forgeries. Had to file Police Report to receive a refund. Finally did but lost over $1200 on authentication fees. Avoid at all cost. Spend $10 with PSA/DNA or Becket for a quick opinion before bidding. Those quick opinions will result in "likely not to pass" results, it will save you time and hassle.
