On offer is an eclectic mix that embodies the art of collecting, from the Roman Era to the Modern and Contemporary. Highlights include a palatial antique Persian Bakhtiari carpet measuring more than twenty-six feet in length; bronze works by Clodion and van Wouw; and paintings by artists such as Fritz Zuber – Buhler, Ida Kohlmeyer, Porfirio Salinas, and Gerald Harvey.
Exclusively offered by Simpson Galleries in this auction is the lifetime collection of European furniture and decorative arts from an important private collection in South Texas including works by some of the most notable artists from the late 19th and early 20th century.
