Prehistoric and Historic Artifact Auction

This sale includes a very fine selection of various prehistoric artifact types. A grouping of top quality historic items round out this offering. Many of the artifacts in this auction come from old collections, with many also having been documented in various artifact publications. We are very pleased to offer the collection of the late Rick Stevens. This auction will also contain dozens of fine artifacts from the Earl Townsend collection and the final portion of the fabulous Ken Seals collection. Rick Stevens was know to many artifact collectors as "Daltonman". Decades ago, he became friends with Greg Perino. This tutelage guided him throughout his decades of collecting. We are offering many of Rick's Hixton pieces as well as many of his personal finds as well as superb Danish pieces from his collection. As we near the end of the Townsend collection offerings, many of Earl's fine flint pieces are being offered, including blades from Sandy Hill, Flintridge Dovetails, documented Bannerstones and much, much more. This auction contains the second and final half of the Ken Seals collection. Many of Ken's personally found Charmstones are being sold, some documented in Archaeology of Tulare Lake (1993). Sale highlights include a Full Body Crosskno Human Effigy Bottle pictured in Hathcock, Clem Caldwell's Micmac Pipe (possibly the finest Micmac Pipe to ever be offered to the public), several Birdstones from the Townsend Collection and an array of fine flint. Don't miss this superb artifact sale.
