Winter Auction Weekend - Day 2

Day 2 of our three day sale, lots 701 - 1293, features an outstanding collection of artwork, including works by Jasper Cropsey, Thomas Eakins, and James Taylor Harwood; plus equestrian paintings by Charles Walter Simpson, Franklin Voss, Haddon Sundblom, Lionel Edwards, and Henry Lucas. There will also be a nice group of equine-related items, led by the 1932 sterling silver trophy from The Royal Hunt Cup, Ascot (England). Highlights include an elephant folio engraving of the Red Headed Woodpecker (Pl. 27) by John James Audubon and an important grouping of Admiral Nelson era British Royal Navy documents.
