Books & Ephemera

A large and diverse offering of vintage and antique books, ephemera, postcards, photographs and more comprised mostly from the estates of Russell Johanson, Ravenna Rare Books, Seattle, Washington and Eugene Carroll (Chuck) Hemgren which includes books and photographs from the estate of Jessie Rankin Wharton (1857-1923) refferred to as the "Grand Old Man of Butte (Montana)" that desended generations. This auction is highlighted with Montana history in the form of books, photos and more including an original photograph of Jessie Rankin Wharton and W.A. Clark together. Also, an antique Montana historical reference book that appears to be the only known example. From the estate collection of Russell Johanson comes another large grouping of rare and unusual books and ephemera dating from the 18th century to the mid 20th century. Mostly non-fiction and covering any array of topics showing once again the wide scope of Mr. Johanson's collection. Another auction not to be missed.
