Fine Asian Art and Antiques - Session 1

Our Spring Fine Asian Art and Antiques auction features works of art and antiques from China that span the Eastern Wei, Yuan Dynasty, Song Dynasty, Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty, Republic Period, and the 20th century. Day 1: The focus of Session 1 is on several important private collections, including jade carvings from the estate of Mr. Ng of San Francisco and from the collection of Ashkenazie & Co; Imperial Chinese porcelain from the Slade family collection of Chinese ceramics and jade; cloisonné from the private collection of Mr. Paulson, a former New York City based antique dealer. Also featured are Chinese porcelain dishes, bowls, plaques, and figurines; scholar?s items; Buddhist art; bronze Buddhas, figurines, censers, and vases from China, Japan and Nepal; jade, agate, turquoise, coral, soapstone, Qiyang stone, and other carvings; Peking Glass; jewelry; ruyi; snuff bottles; cloisonné; cinnabar; huanghuali, bamboo, rosewood, and zitan furniture and carvings; and textiles such as Kesi panels, ranking badges, silk robes, embroideries, wool rugs, Thangkas, and Imperial edicts.
