Winter Auction Weekend - Day 2

Day 2 of our 2019 Winter Auction Wekeknd (Mar 1 - 3) features artwork by Charles Walter Simpson, Winslow Homer, Ivan Aivazovsky, Joachim Richardt, John Ross Key, Elisha Baker, Alfred Thompson Bricher, and Theopold Defrees. Featured from the extensive early American furniture collection will be a matched pair of important Federal period card tables, a Boston Sheraton sideboard attributed to John and Thomas Seymour, and a Queen Anne period highboy in rampant tiger maple. There will be a rare San Francisco Gold Rush era push dagger by Michael Price, and a 19th Century brass telescope on tripod by A. Ross of London. The 104-lot group of Chinese antiques will be led by a Kangxi Period famille verte porcelain Immortal figure, a Ming Dynasty gilded bronze Buddha, and Tang Dynasty pottery horse. Rounding out the day will be collections of marine items, folk art, firearms, antique boxes, Indian & Middle Eastern items, and fine Oriental carpets.
