2019 Spring Auction Weekend - Day 2

Day 2 of our three-day Spring Auction Weekend features an outstanding collection of artwork, including works by Sir Peter Lely, Thomas Alexander Harrison, Jean Carolus, Cyril Roberts, Zedekiah Belnap, and Edward Armfield. On this day, over 150 Asian lots will be presented, including a monumental 19th c. Chinese porcelain temple vase and a 13th-14th c. Burmese bronze Buddha head. There will be a large group of antiquities, including Taino and Pre-Columbian artifacts, plus ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern relics; and a variety of objects from Native American, Russian, Middle Eastern, Oceanic, and African cultures will be offered. This day will also include a large collection of antique American and European furniture, such as a Pennsylvania Dutch hope chest dated 1774 and an 18th Century Dutch walnut kas. Additionally, there will be selections of marine items, early weapons, tea caddies, tall clocks, and oriental carpets.
