GARY LICHTENSTEIN EDITIONS is a publisher and printer of fine art silkscreen editions and multiples. Over the course of his remarkable 45-year career, Gary Lichtenstein has published a wide range of silkscreen editions and multiples with artists including Cey Adams, Charlie Ahearn, Doug Argue, Janette Beckman, Michael De Feo, Jane Dickson, Danielle Frankenthal, Mako Fujimura, Joanne Greenbaum, Bob Gruen, Gerard Hemsworth, Charles Hinman, Robert Indiana, Eugene Lemay, Richard Meier, John Miller, Rebecca Miller, John Newsom, Eric Orr, Yigal Ozeri, Gary Panter, Rubem Robierb, Shelter Serra, Jessica Stockholder and Nola Zirin. He has printed for industry legends including Marina Abramovic, Karl Benjamin, Robert Cottingham, Alex Katz and Ken Price.
LichtensteinÂ’s prints have been exhibited and collected by, among others, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, New YorkÂ’s Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Smithsonian, the San Francisco Art Institute, the Chicago Art Institute, the Butler Institute of American Art, the College of Art & Architecture at the University of Tennessee, the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the Silvermine Arts Center and the International Print Center NYC.
In 2010, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum unveiled Gary Lichtenstein: 35 Years of Screenprinting: a sweeping exhibition of works produced by Lichtenstein over the course of his career.
Gary Lichtenstein is a uniquely inventive force in the art world… an extremely talented artist whose work has too often been invisible – not that you cannot see his work, but you might not be aware that it is his. Such is the fate of the collaborative artist.
