September Art Discovery Sale

A lively selection of paintings and drawings including a rare oil painting attributed to Edward Bannister, notably one of the first Black American artists to achieve fame. Other important works include a Fall landscape by Emile Gruppe, two paintings by Canadian primitive artist Maude Lewis, a Summer landscape by Henry James Albright, illustrations signed Beatrice Potter and Dr. Seuss, and a selection of 1970's silk screen prints published at the Rhode Island School of Design.
