Exceptional and Important Auction A Collection of Alfred Stieglitz’s Original Lantern Slides from Emilie Vallete Clarkson’s Item’s - First time offering of her items available! TO HIGHLIGHT: A rare opportunity to obtain original Lantern Slides by Alfred Stieglitz which he had given to his friend and fellow photographer Emilie Vallete Clarkson-Moore. Emilie was an award-winning photographer whose talent was appreciated by Stieglitz and their correspondence is part of the Alfred Stieglitz / Georgia O'Keeffe archive at Yale. The photographic works of Emilie V Clarkson are in the archive of St Lawrence University. In addition to the Stieglitz Lantern Slides, we have Emilie’s magic lantern slide projector (made by Chas. Beseler Co.) and a wonderful collection of over 500 Detroit Publishing Company’s (whose President at the time was noted western photographer William Henry Jackson) beautiful large Photochrom color prints she collected of her travels abroad and of this country – these are truly spectacular. The sale will include other items of Emilie’s, as well as, very nice additions from other estates to mention paintings by two (2) Classical Realist trained artists in the methods of the Old Masters : Murray Muldofsky and Carol Lee Thompson as well as noted sculptor Joy Beckner.
