AUTOGRAPH and EPHEMERA AUCTION - APRIL 12th

This is our Spring Auction of authentic autographs and ephemera. We will be selling numerous unique historical items including two autograph letters from fire arms inventor Samuel Colt that were written from Canada when he was performing as "Dr. Samuel Coult." These are the only two such letters known to exist. We will also offer letters from: John Adams, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Theodore Roosevelt and nearly one hundred other Presidential items including a signed copy of John Kennedy's "Profiles in Courage" and the actual appointment signed by Lyndon Johnson, of Clark Clifford as Secretary of Defense and a photograph of JFK inscribed to Clifford and signed. We have a large number of slavery related documents including a chilling letter from a slave trader from 1835. There are numerous Civil War autographs, including a war dated signed CDV of General Robert E. Lee, a war dated endorsement from General George Armstrong Custer and many war dated documents and signatures. We will be selling a signed first edition of Dr. Martin Luther King's book, "Stride Toward Freedom," and many additional author signed first editions including a limited edition book of poetry signed by Walt Whitman.. There is a remarkable original sketch of Albert Einstein, signed by Einstein. There is an autograph letter from Greek soprano, Maria Callas. Entertainers are represented by Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn, and nearly 150 others. Sports figures include Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jim Thorpe and golf legend Bobby Jones and many, many others.
