Jackson Hole Art Auction

The 2nd Annual Jackson Hole Art Auction is presented by Trailside Galleries of Jackson Hole and Scottsdale and the Gerald Peters Gallery of Santa Fe, Dallas and New York. It is an annual Live Auction that is one of the signature events of the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. Last years auction performed superbly, catching the energy and enthusiasm of a market confident in top quality Western American art. When the hammer came down after 207 available lots, the auction had realized 8 ½ million in sales, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the Center for the Arts and the National Museum of Wildlife Art. The Jackson Hole Art Auction features historically recognized artists of the American West, including important works of art by the Taos Society of Artists, deceased Masters such as C.M.Russell, Albert Bierstadt, Maynard Dixon, Charlie Dye, Frederic Remington, John Clymer, Bob Kuhn, Frank McCarthy, Carl Rungius, Donald Teague, Olaf Wieghorst, and more. Top contemporary artists of the American West are also featured in the auction. This years featured artists include Howard Terpning, Kenneth Riley, Martin Grelle, Robert Bateman, Clyde Aspevig, Tim Cox, G.Harvey, Tucker Smith, Mian Situ, Ken Carlson, Gary Niblett, Jim Norton, Bill Owen, Curt Walters, Morgan Weistling and others. Top quality Native American artifacts and Western collectibles will also be included in the auction.
