Our May Historic Fashion & Textile auction welcomes the spring with a fast-paced vintage fest. Our online sale of new-to-market vintage treasures come from many museums and historical societies with a few private collections added. With so many new and never-before-seen finds, this promises to be another great sale - full of surprises. Featured items include rock & roller Lou Reed's leather pants, a rare Victorian Lady's Bicycling dress, a 1950s Ceil Chapman dress worn by Sissy Spacek in "A Long Walk Home", a velvet stenciled evening jacket by Maria Gallengaa collection of 1960's & 1970's Pucci & Halston stewardess uniforms made for Braniff Airlines as well as treasures by Adrian,Trigere, Lilli Ann, Mainbocher, Yamamoto, Givenchy and more. Several lots of accessories from the wardrobe of Katharine Hepburn come from the collection of the Kent State University Museum. These are being sold with the permission of the Estate of Katharine Hepburn for the purpose of the care, maintenance, preservation or conservation of the Hepburn Costume Collection.
