Sale 2030 - Old Master Drawings

On Monday, January 24 at 2:30pm Eastern Time, Swann Galleries will conduct Sale 2030 ­ Old Master Drawings. This collection includes more than 250 lots of 15th to mid-19thcentury drawings from the Italian, Dutch, French and German schools. The sale also offers more than 60 etchings by Rembrandt van Rijn. Of special note is a Portrait Study of a Young Man by Théodore Géricault, oil on paper, circa 1810-20 (estimate: $30,000 to $50,000). This recently discovered work was formerly in the collection of Ary Scheffer, a painter who was a contemporary of Géricault’s.
