Prehistoric Artifact Auction

This is a very fine offering of Prehistoric Artifacts anchored by a selection of Birdstones, Bannerstones, Axes and Flint from the well known Gary Cuckler Collection. Two of the finest Birdstones to be found are being sold: The "Black Swann", an old Don Boudeman relic that has graced the covers of several prominent publications will sell first, followed later in the sale by the "Payne Popeyed Birdstone". This Porphyry masterpiece is one of the handful of Birds to be featured in the color plates of Townsend's Birdstone Book. This sale contains and extraordinary selection of Dovetails. Many are from the Walt Evans Collection. Many are pictured and all of Walt's Doves are offered with respected authentications. The remainder of the Dr. Charles Gish pieces consigned to us will be in this auction. Several Flint Masterpieces are contained in the sale. A Ft. Payne Lost Lake and an Indiana Green Clovis are especially worthy of note. A portion of the Mark Humpal collection, along with artifacts from the Robert Bourden collection will be offered as well. This sale offers a variety of artifacts. There are Bannerstones pictured in Knoblock, large pictured Cache Blades, Roy Hathcock's Spiro Blade, Kizzia Hayes and more.
