Fall Fine Art, Antiques & Collectibles
Oakridge is pleased to present its Fall Fine Art, Antiques, and Collectibles auction, featuring an exquisite selection of fine paintings and sculpture, Chinese and Japanese export antiques, and rare collectibles. Among the auction highlights are two paintings by the British-born artist Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait (1819-1905), best known for his hunting and sporting scenes set in upstate New York. The auction also includes several military collectibles from Japan and the United States, such as a Japanese Lacquer Arrow Case with fifty original arrows from the Meiji period, and a wide range of antique toys and dolls. Automobile enthusiasts in particular may be excited to bid on a Large and Rare Cast Aluminum Golden Arrow Car, modeled after the car which broke the standing speed record in 1929 with a new record of 231.45 mph. The auction concludes with several pieces of fine silver, bronze, and jewelry, from Georg Jensen, Bruno Guidi, Gorham, Geyer & Krauss, and many others of note.
Bidding is invited online, by telephone, and by absentee bidding.
