Winter Fine Asian Art and Antiques: Session 1
Oakridge is pleased to present its Winter Fine Asian Art and Antiques auction, in two sessions. Session 1, Ceramics and Work of Arts, on November 14, presents over 300 lots spanning from the Spring and Autumn Period (771-476 BCE) to the Republic Period (1912-1949) of China. Featured among the auction lots are a Yongzheng Period Chinese copper red ?three fish? stem bowl, formerly in the collection of Dr. Sidney Dillon Ripley (1913-2001), who served as secretary of the Smithsonian Institution from 1964-1984; a Jiaqing Period Imperial jade table screen with a carved zitan stand from a private California collection; and a Chinese bronze tripod ?Yajing? censer from the collection of Dr. Michael Queen, a renowned research geologist.
