Mr.Asakawa's Collections Sale Day 1
August Winston Auction is proud to present exquisite Fine Chinese Works of Art on March 13th at 6am (PST) online. The auction collection is carefully selected by experts to present a feast of both history and art. This auction presents over 300 art pieces, which includes Porcelains, Bronze Pieces, Chinese Paintings, Buddha Statues, Hetian Jade pieces, Gold and Silver pieces, etc. The owner of these amazing art pieces is Mr. Asakawa.
Mr. Asakawa was born in New York. Despite growing up in the United States, he kept a great curiosity for his homeland, Osaka. When he was 17 years old, he majored in East Asian Studies in the New York University to further discover Japanese History and Literature. After graduated from New York University, he moved back to Japan and lives with his grandfather who always has great passion and excitement on collecting ancient and fabulous pieces of Asian arts and decorations. Recently, his grandfather has passed away, Mr. Asakawa inherited all the art and antiques of his grandfather. It is possible that this impressive collection of Chinese ceramics, paintings, jade and archaic bronzes were acquired during his travel to China in the early 20th Century.
Here we are honored to present the heritage collection of Mr. Asakawa's grandfather who genuinely hope this auction shares the excitement he felt for making discoveries, for unearthing hidden treasures.
