David Rago Auctions presents its annual Great Estates, Fine Jewelry & Silver Auction on Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th. The Saturday session features material from the 18th C. to 20th C., including: exceptional bronzes; English and Continental furnishings; American, European and English artists; Asian and Tribal items; porcelains and ceramics by Royal Worcester, Meissen, Royal Vienna, Sevres and others; oriental rugs; military and historical ephemera; needlework samplers; late 19th & early 20th C. baseball cards; Mr. Peanut advertising items; Americana; and unusual items such as a pawnbrokers' advertising sign, an English barrister wig in its original toleware box and a 50- Reading Railroad Terminal mural. The Sunday session of fine jewelry and silver follows the trend of exceptional offerings with items to fit all budgets and tastes. The first 350 lots are devoted to exceptional jewelry and gemstones from Victorian to Modern. Companies featured include Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Bailey Banks & Biddle, Parker, Asprey, Faraone and others. The jewelry portion ends with a dazzling array of Russian enameled silver by Fedor Ruckert, Pavel Ovchinnikov and Antip Kuzmichev. The silver section immediately follows the fine jewelry, displaying its own selection of breathtaking lots.
