We are very pleased to present the third and final offering of the "Best of the Gary Cuckler Collection". Over 25 years in the making, the Gary Cuckler Artifact Collection was comprised of some of the finest artifacts ever found. Gary will be remember for his keen eye for quality. This is the final, substantial (100 lots) dispersal of this large, significant collection. Gary's fine Bannerstones, Axes and Pipes anchor this sale. I know of no other assemblage of Bannerstones that surpasses the quality and presentation of the Cuckler Bannerstones. We are also very pleased to introduce the Evan Maurer Collection in this sale. Mr. Maurer is dispersing his lifetime collection over the next few sales. During his career, Mr. Maurer curated and directed a number of Native American artifact exhibitions in association with such notable institutions as the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. There a also a dozen fine relics in the sale from the well-known Jim Johnston collection. Many were acquired from such old time collectors as Dr. Stanley Copeland and Gilbert Dilley. This sale offers a variety of fine artifacts. Don't miss this opportunity to add a Cuckler relic to your collection.
