SPRING ART, ANTIQUES & EPHEMERA SALE

Kaminski Auctions announces a two-day spring auction on Saturday, May 21, featuring fine art, antiques and decorative accessories from several Boston North Shore estates and collections, and Sunday, May 22, featuring antiquarian books and ephemera. Highlights of Saturday's sale will be 18th, 19th and 20th Century furniture to include an early 19th Century Sheraton mahogany card table, a 19th Century cherry slant-lid desk, and a circa 1920 American flame satinwood ten-piece bedroom suite. Of special interest will be numerous pieces of fine art to include a William MacGill oil on board landscape, a 19th Century oil on canvas of the S.S. Priam, a signed Douglas Volk portrait of a young girl, a signed E. Barnes oil on canvas of a coastal village and a John Joseph Enneking oil on board of a boat on a stream. Several sculptures and exceptional decorative pieces will be offered to include a pair of 19th Century five-light bronze wall sconces with majolica tile inserts, an early 20th Century classical marble nude figure with alabaster robe, a signed Frederic Remington bronze titled 'The Sergeant' and a Russian enameled silver egg. Numerous pieces of sterling including Tiffany, Gorham, Whiting, etc., and fine jewelry will also be offered. Highlights of Sunday's sale will include the lifetime collection of antiquarian books, ephemera, coins and paper currency of dealer/collector, Nicholas D'Urso of Medford, MA. Items of special interest in this sale will be 18th and 19th Century letters, documents, deeds, journals, Civil War letters and documents, indentures, etc.
