On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Hill Auction Gallery presents JOY MOOS GALLERY & PROPERTY OF THE BASS MUSEUM, a curated auction of over 600 lots, including art by Picasso, Purvis Young, Salvador Dali, Murano, Lalique, Nicola Simbari, Richard Tuttle, Marilyn Minter, and other significant artists, as well as gold, silver, and rare books. For four decades, the Joy Moos Gallery showcased the works of 20th Century Masters, including Picasso and Joan Miro, and introduced many emerging artists who went on to great acclaim, including Miami outsider artist Purvis Young. The Bass Museum of Art opened in 1964. Its permanent collection includes painting and sculpture dating from the 15th Century; 7th to 20th Century textiles and artifacts; Latin American, Haitian and Caribbean art; photographs, prints and drawings; and modern architecture and design.
