Made in Mexico

This auction's diversity of Mexican, Latin and Central American, Chicano, Cuban and American artist painting in such locations is an unparalleled offering in recent years. Ranging from the well-known to emerging, there is something to reflect everyone's tastes. Fine art offerings include contemporary sculpture, oil on canvas, etchings, serigraphs, and more by Ricardo Martinez de Hoyos, Frank Romero, Enrique Tabara, Carlos Merida, and Rufino Tamayo among 30 examples from Cuban artists and many others. Sculptural offerings from Felipe Castaeda and Tonal ceramics from Jalisco and polychrome and blackware Mata Ortiz vessels by such important artists as Ismael Flores, Tina Esperanza, and Lydia Quezada. Adding a bit of sparkle from a hearty selection of Mexican silver from William Spratling, Fred Davis, Hector Aguilar, Antonio Pineda, Margot de Taxco, and Matilde Poulat to name a few.
