Edythe and Donald Aukerman: Noted Americana Collection at Caza Sikes

Edythe and Donald Aukerman of Centerville, Ohio began collecting as hobbyists, and turned their hobby into a full time passion over several decades.  They compiled an extensive collection of period American furniture, folk art, and virtually every sub-category of Americana in their historic home located in the heart of old Centerville.  In recent years, Donald and Edythe were fixtures at the regional shows, in particular the Springfield Antique Show and other Ohio venues, as they upgraded and socialized with many of the top Ohio and Regional dealers/collectors.     Donald has always carried a special affinity for frakturs, early American frames, miniatures, and early naive works of art.  But the Auckerman's checked virtually every box of Americana.  Caza Sikes' is thrilled to present their diverse collection.  Notable categories include samplers, furniture, stoneware, framed works, prints, paintings, historical blue transferware, carvings, boxes and many more.   Also featured in the sale are diverse collections from the Estate of William Hodges, noted Virginia bibliophile, map collector and dealer for over 50 years, Bill Boggs of Maysville, KY and more.
