Important November Fine Art & Antique Auction

While Wayne Thibaud?s ?Landscape, 1965? headlines the fine art consignments, the fine art offerings lead off an impressive list of California, American and European works by artists James Fery, Eustace Ziegler, William Keith, Gordon Onslow Ford, Imogene Cunningham, Andy Warhol, Clyde Forsythe, Richard Pettibone, Richard MacDonald, just to name a few. In addition to the 1963 George Nakashima table, furniture offerings in November include a strong showing of mid-century modern designers and manufacturers including Nakashima, Nelson, Ponti, Miller, Warren McArthur and Knoll. Featured will be a George Nelson for Herman Miller ?marshmallow? sofa. Clars? November Asian sale offerings include a landscape scroll in ink and color on paper attributed to Huang Binhong (Chinese, 1864-1955), a Chinese mammoth ivory tusk, carved in high relief, hanging scrolls deaccessioned from the Cantor museum, carved ivory figural groups, porcelains and bronzes. Jewelry is featuring a 7.08 carat ring, round center diamond surrounded by baguette cut diamonds totaling an additional 3 cts. Set in 18 k gold, and is joined in the sale by jewelry and watches by Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Erte and Patek Philippe.
