The lifelong collection of Danny and Angie Causey consists of many collectible items covering a broad range of interest and is scheduled for absolute auction. There is a very large collection of Face Jugs, old toys in boxes, unusual glassware, and original art. Perhaps the most unusual is the carving of a cypress knee that shows a catfish in a hole in the knee. (For those not from south Louisiana, a cypress knee is a separate growth off of the roots of a cypress tree.) It was carved by an inmate at the Louisiana State Prison and took nearly three years to complete. Also included are antique furniture, oil lamps, coins, and a guitar and mandolin made by another inmate. The instruments were made from manila folders and plastic garbage bags, but are playable

ESTATE AUCTION SERVICES, LLC TERMS AND CONDITIONS All sales are final and items are sold as-is, where-is with no guarantees as to condition or serviceability. Any reports regarding authenticity are the responsibility of the consignor of the item being sold. Our descriptions of the items are as accurate as the information provided by consignors allows. For more detailed information, call 225.247.4980 no later than the day prior to the auction. No calls regarding condition of merchandise will be accepted on the day of the auction. The buyer is responsible for shipping and any cost associated with it. EAS will assist, but is not responsible for packaging merchandise for shipping. Buyer is responsible for arranging pick-up or delivery of merchandise at buyer's risk and expense. Arrangements must be made through the buyer's own shipper. We do not provide estimates of shipping costs. Items purchased by buyers out of the state must be picked up within 10 business days after auction after which a storage charge of $25 per day will be charged. In-state buyers must remove items immediately after the auction unless prior arrangements are made with EAS staff. EAS reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The auctioneer will decide any disputes regarding the highest bid at the time the gavel falls. If there is a dispute, he will be the final judge. If he so determines, the item in dispute may be re-offered. The auctioneer has the authority to bid on behalf of registered bidders not in attendance. In addition, EAS staff may bid for registered bidders on the telephone or Internet. However, such action is for the convenience of those not present and EAS will not accept responsibility for errors that might occur. EAS will collect sales taxes for all purchases picked up at the auction or delivered to an address in Louisiana. The state tax is 4% and local taxes vary. A valid resale certificate from the state of Louisiana is required to eliminate the collection of taxes. A buyer?s premium of 16% will be charged for all Sales via the Internet, absentee bids, or bids on the telephone. For the purposes of computing taxes, the Buyer?s premium is considered to be part of the sale and taxes shall so reflect. Accepted forms of payment are Visa, Mastercard, certified check or money order. Only credit cards are accepted for international buyers. For successful bidders in attendance, full payment is required prior to departing.
