Prehistoric and Historic Artifact Auction
We are offering a very fine selection of artifacts in this sale. Flint relics offered include a spectacular selection of Paleo points including several large examples (4.9" Cumberland). Most have authentications by Rogers, Davis or Dickey. There are a dozen quality Dovetails being sold. Included are a 6" Ohio Dovetail, several 5" plus Doves including a jet black Zaleski Chert masterpiece. All Dovetails have been authenticated by a respected authenticator as well. Dr. Copeland's Jewel Flintridge Thebes and Tony Bakutis' 6.5" Thebes highlight the sale. We are pleased to include a grouping of Bannerstones from the Bruce Miller collection. A beautiful Quartz Shuttle Bannerstone highlights the cover of the auction catalog. Also being sold is a colorful green Hardstone Hourglass pictured decades ago (Ex-Titterington, Dr. Copeland, Dr. Young). Other items worthy of note is a flat sided Eccentric Jar pictured in Hathcock (there are a number of Mississippian and
Quapaw vessels being sold. One of Gary Cuckler's favorite Axes will be sold, a small predominately white beauty. I could go on and on. This will be a very fine sale. Something for every one.
